The AI extracts line items from the written content of your documents. Note: Quotably does not currently support visual extraction from scanned plans or drawings.
How accurate is the AI extraction?
The AI provides a strong starting point that improves over time as it learns your pricing lists and trade-specific terminology. Every extraction is presented for your review — you always have the final say on what makes it into your BOQ.
Can the AI handle trade-specific terminology?
Yes. Quotably is built specifically for Australian construction and trades. The AI understands trade terminology for electricians, plumbers, painters, builders, landscapers, and more. It also learns your specific item names and codes over time.
What happens if the AI gets something wrong?
You are always in control. Every AI-suggested line item is clearly marked as a suggestion. You can edit, remove, or replace any item before approving it. Nothing is finalised without your sign-off.
Do I need to set up pricing lists first?
While AI extraction works without pricing lists, it performs best when matched against your existing prices. You can import pricing lists via Excel template or build them directly in Quotably.
Can Quotably extract items from scanned plans or drawings?
Not currently. Quotably extracts line items from text-based documents — specifications, scope of works, schedules, and job descriptions. Visual extraction from scanned architectural or engineering drawings is not yet supported.
