Your Pricing. Always Up to Date.
Import your trade pricing from Excel, manage multiple lists, and keep prices current. Every BOQ and quote draws from your latest pricing data.
How It Works
Import, organise, and use your pricing data in four simple steps.
Import Your Pricing
Upload your existing pricing via our Excel template. Column mapping is automatic — just paste your data and import. No manual re-entry needed.
Organise by Category
Group items by trade, supplier, or category. Manage multiple pricing lists for different business profiles or trades.
Search and Use
Search across all your pricing lists when building BOQs. Items include descriptions, units, rates, and supplier information.
Keep Prices Current
Update individual items or re-import entire lists when supplier prices change. Your BOQs always reflect your latest pricing.
Key Benefits
Excel Import
Import your existing pricing data from Excel spreadsheets. No need to manually re-enter thousands of items — upload once and you are ready to go.
Multiple Pricing Lists
Maintain separate lists for different suppliers, trades, or business profiles. Switch between lists as needed when building BOQs.
Custom Units and Rates
Define items with your preferred units — each, metres, square metres, hours, or any custom unit. Set buy prices, sell prices, and margins.
Supplier Information
Link items to suppliers with contact details and part numbers. This flows through to shopping lists, making ordering straightforward.
AI-Matched Line Items
When AI extracts line items from documents, it matches them against your pricing lists. Better pricing lists mean more accurate AI suggestions.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I import my existing pricing?
Download our Excel template, paste your pricing data into it, and upload. Quotably automatically maps columns and imports your items. You can also add items one by one if you prefer.
Can I have different pricing lists for different trades?
Yes. If you operate across multiple trades (for example, electrical and plumbing), you can maintain separate pricing lists for each. Business profiles link to specific pricing lists so the right prices appear for the right trade.
How do I update prices when supplier costs change?
You can update individual items directly, or re-import an updated Excel file. Quotably will match existing items and update their pricing while preserving any customisations you have made.
Can I set both buy and sell prices?
Yes. Each item can have a buy price (your cost) and a sell price (what you charge). You can also set margins to automatically calculate sell prices from buy prices.
Do pricing list changes affect existing BOQs?
No. Existing BOQs retain the prices that were set when they were created. Only new BOQs or newly added line items will use updated pricing. This prevents unexpected changes to quotes already in progress.
